Job Details

Our client employs 550 people in the UK and work with a large and diverse client base across the leisure, retail, food and FMCG sectors and the plan for the next 3 to 5 years is double digit growth. They now plan to expand their operations to Germany and seek an experienced supply chain professional to establish their first operational hub inside a major customer in Dusseldorf.
You will be responsible for establishing the operation in Germany and manage the daily interface as the support team is recruited, establishing sound supplier relationships and underpin these with robust contractual arrangements.

After successful implementation there will be a structured hand over to a contract manager, who will assume the day to day running of the operation.
• setting up the office and recruiting team

• scope requirements for systems.

• manage the mobilisation process of existing supply chain

• agreeing commercial terms and contracts

• establishing supply chain management measurement and reporting structure in line with existing UK toolset

• develop and maintain excellent relationship with client management team

• daily operational interface with distribution agents

Specific requirements
• EU Citizen fluent in German

• Strong commercial, supply chain, procurement and operational management experience

• Excellent networking skills & ability to persuade and quickly build relationships

• Good leadership skills

• Availability for initial six month period from May / June

• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and ability to earn respect through credibility and professionalism

• Systems and PC literate with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
